ALAIN THOMAS

Senior Dealmaking Advisor

Alain brings 30 years of experience in investment banking. He has advised companies on mergers, acquisitions, sale and capital raising transactions. He specialises in Capital Markets, including IPOs, for €50-500m revenue companies. His track record includes ten IPOs, including Infogrames (which rebranded as Atari Inc. in 2001). He also has significant expertise within the start-up scene, advising companies on growth financing raises from Venture Capital investors.

Prior to Glenshore, Alain was a Managing Director at boutique investment bank Wagram Corporate Finance and Head of Corporate Finance at Mazars. He was also Head of Corporate Finance & Equity Capital Markets (ECM) at Meeschaert Rousselle and Crédit Agricole (CASA ex CNCA).

Alain holds an MBA from HEC Business School in Paris and speaks French, English and Italian.


AMINE LAOUEDJ

Senior Dealmaking Advisor

Amine is an Investment Banker with expertise in cross-border M&A, Exit, and Equity financing transactions, in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. Amine has contributed to more than 25 transactions with a total value exceeding €8 billion, advising large international groups, as well as mid-cap companies and start-ups.

Prior to Glenshore, Amine worked in the fields of global Investment Banking and Private Equity in other prestigious financial institutions including Rothschild, Wagram Corporate Finance, and Goetzpartners, in both London and Paris.

Amine graduated from Panthéon-Assas University in Paris with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Finance. He also strengthened his Corporate Finance expertise at EM Lyon Business School. Amine has a dual British and French citizenship.


CHRISTOPHE PETETIN

Senior Industry Advisor - Financial Services, Markets and FinTech

Christophe is an award-winning thought leader and an expert in financial services, markets and FinTech. He specialises in trading & risk systems, process re-engineering and financial data. He had several roles in hedge funds and banks (proprietary trading, market making and structuring). He is now advising world class FinTech startups and leading Agile projects for large financial institutions.

Previously, Christophe founded a Data Lab for Deutsche Bank Innovation, leading its data lake strategy & governance. He also implemented many regulatory projects (BCBS, SFTR, MiFID II, IOSCO....) impacting banks' data & risk technology platforms (xVA, BARX & Markit). He managed banks' transformation programmes up to EUR 60 million involving 100+ staff. Christophe also spearheaded cutting edge projects such as UBS' leading Blockchain & Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) initiative with the Utility Settlement Coin (USC) to create digital currencies backed by three central banks: European Central Bank (ECB), Bank of England (BoE) & Swiss National Bank (SNB).

In addition to his role at Glenshore, Christophe is Financial Innovation Judge for both the British Bankers’ Association (BBA) and the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) as well as chair of the FinTech committee at the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments (CISI). He is also advisor to the EU Commission and regulators as UK expert (BSI) for Blockchain (TC 307) & FinTech (TC 68). In this capacity, Christophe also sits on ISO 20022 UK committee to create the next generation of standards for securities, derivatives, payments, data, FinTech and digital currencies.

Christophe has received numerous awards including Best Growth Product & Best Offshore Product as well as Agile's "Certified ScrumMaster" (CSM) by Jeff Sutherland, the founder of Scrum. He gained a BSc (Hons) in Economics from University of Bath and has a dual British and French citizenship.


DANIEL BROWNE

Senior Dealmaking Advisor

Daniel has worked in the field of investment banking for over ten years in London, advising on transactions with a total value of $1 billion. He has advised FTSE 100, mid-sized and start-up companies on acquisitions, exit, financing and strategy. He has also advised Private Equity firms on the assessment of potential acquisitions, including commercial due diligence.

Prior to his role at Glenshore, Daniel worked as an investment banker with Deutsche Bank, specialising in the Technology and Telecom sectors as well as Leveraged Finance. He then joined M&A boutique Acris, where he specialised in the Retail and Consumer sectors. He also worked for Moody’s investor services, in the High-Yield credit analysis department.

Daniel is also the CEO of the consultancy firm City Performance, which prepares high performing businesses for exit. He is a public speaker and the acclaimed author of the best-selling book “The Energy Equation: how to be a top performer without burning yourself out” (Pearson). He holds an M. Eng in Electronic Engineering from UCL 1st class and is bilingual in English and French.


EMMA PONSONBY

Senior Industry Advisor - e-Commerce | Tourism

Emma brings 16 years of experience and relations in global e-Commerce, retail and lifestyle entrepreneurship as well as consulting (both client and agency) across London, New York and Dubai. She is regarded as a leading expert in digital business development strategy, multi-channel presence, key technologies and user experience trends.

In addition to her role at Glenshore, Emma is the founder and CEO at Satopia Group, Little Voyage and Satopia Travel. Emma is also dedicated to leading a positive transformation of global companies in the Lifestyle, Fashion and Travel sectors to support cross-border economic sustainability.

Previously, Emma was co-founder and Director of several ventures and developed user experience technology solutions to increase online conversion rates.


GUILHEM PORCHERON

Senior Industry Advisor - Retail | Hospitality

Guilhem brings 30 years of experience in the Retail and Hospitality industry, including as the CEO of large international groups, as well as relations with corporate, financial and governmental decision makers. His main areas of expertise are in strategy, costs optimisation, commercial negotiation and human resources. He has also been involved in dealmaking both as an advisor and a business leader.

Previously, Guilhem was CEO of Jardiland Group, a European leader in the Retail industry (USD 1 billion revenue, 250 stores and 5,000 employees). Under Guilhem’s successful leadership, the group expanded its local and international footprint and significantly increased its profit margins. He was also Interim CEO at Carrefour Group in Asia Pacific (a Food retailer with 2,000 employees), CEO of Tignes (an iconic Ski Resort in France), and worked for major consultancy firm McKinsey & Co in Paris and Milan.

In addition to his role at Glenshore, Guilhem serves as Partner at Go Beyond, an investment syndication platform active in the European Union, Switzerland and the United States for family offices, professional groups and corporations.

Guilhem gained a BA in Management from E.S.C.P. Europe and holds an MBA from INSEAD. He speaks English, French, Spanish and German.


JENS LAUGESEN

Senior Industry Advisor - Fashion and Luxury

Jens brings 30 years of experience and relations in the global Fashion and Luxury sectors across Paris, London, New York and Seoul. He is an internationally acclaimed Designer and has worked as a Creative Director. He also has experience as a multi-dimensional consultant, providing CEOs and management teams of international Luxury, Fashion and Textile groups with both strategic and creative direction advisory services, including expansion strategies and brand audit. His unique profile combines a strong conceptual edge with a deep understanding of the Luxury market, creative marketing methods and design.

Jens has been an independent consultant (Laugesen Advisory) to international companies, including Calvin Klein, LG Fashion, Linda Farrow, Swarovski, and Topshop. He also held leadership positions at Lapidus Haute Couture and Rena Lange in Paris. His acclaimed eponymous brand was launched at London Fashion Week and subsequently sold at leading stores worldwide (NY, London, HK, Tokyo).

Jens has received numerous international awards including Fashion Forward in London as well as the Andam Fashion Award, the LVMH Prize, and the L’Oréal Prize in Paris. His designs are also part of the permanent collections of the V&A museum in London, the FIT Museum in New York, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (UCAD) in Paris, and the Design Museum in Denmark.

Jens was trained in Haute Couture at Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris. He also holds two masters degrees in Fashion Management from Institut Français de La Mode (Paris) and Central Saint Martins (London). He is trilingual in English, French and Danish.


MAX ROWE

Senior Industry Advisor - Energy | EnergyTech

Max has nearly 30 years of experience in the Energy industry and related technologies with involvement in Oil & Gas and Marine Renewables. His main areas of expertise are in strategy, commercial negotiation, technology commercialisation, and governance. He has also been involved in raising equity and numerous acquisition and exit deals. He is a physicist and Chartered Engineer.

In addition to his role at Glenshore, Max serves as a Non-executive Director of LUX Assure, a technology developer and supplier of innovative products to the oil & gas sector, and is a consultant to major UK utility companies. Max also holds an Honorary Chair at the University of Aberdeen and is Chairman of a UK charity.

Previously, Max was Chairman of ITF (the Oil & Gas Industry Technology Facilitator), a member of the Advisory Board of Energy Ventures (an oil & gas focussed venture capital company), a senior manager with ConocoPhillips (one of the largest international independent oil companies), a strategic advisor to ThinkTank Maths (an innovative solutions company using mathematics) and a member of the Scottish Government’s Industry Leadership Group, advising ministers on oil & gas industry policy and strategy. 

Max gained a BSc (Hons) and ARCS from Imperial College in London, a PhD from University of Southampton and an MBA from Henley Management College. He has held academic positions at the Universities of Southampton, Cambridge, Oxford and Aberdeen. Max is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, a Member of the Institute of Directors and a Member of the Institute of Physics.


PARKER LEUNG

Senior Dealmaking Advisor

Parker brings strong financial expertise and relations in Hong Kong and China. Through his participations in dealmaking over years, Parker has developed an extensive network with the owners of listed companies, investors and government officers in Asia Pacific. He has been involved in dealmaking as an advisor and as a business leader.

Previously, Parker was a key player in managing the M&A product operations and developments at Bloomberg LP, a global leading financial data company. In addition to his role at Glenshore, Parker serves as a co-founder of FOREVO, a Japanese workplace solution provider in the Greater China region.

Parker gained a BS in Finance from University of Southern California. He is a private pilot with flying experience in the United States and Australia. He speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
